Johannes Zier
Head of the Startup Service at University Potsdam
Johannes Zier is the head of the Startup Service at the University of Potsdam, which has received several awards throughout Germany, and together with his team supports 30 innovative start-ups per year in their foundation. He is a trained banker and a successful graduate of the University of Potsdam's Bachelor's and Master's programmes in Innovation Management & Entrepreneurship and Political and Administrative Sciences.
Before joining Startup Service, he built up the Startup Academy at the Potsdam Science Park and worked as a project manager in various functions. Johannes Zier is also co-founder of the nationwide association "Denkfabrik Hochschulen & Entrepreneurship" (think tank universities & entrepreneurship) and is actively involved in the establishment and further development of regional, national and international start-up ecosystems as well as the orchestration of innovation centres.
