Winning the Race of Augmented Reality Content – How AR Is Changing Communication And How Media Makers Can Benefit From It

Augmented reality (AR) experiences are inspiring more and more people. But only if they have experienced the enormous power of AR and its added value for themselves.  With AR, information can be conveyed in a completely new way. Analysts predict a successful future for the new medium, as AR is set to become a billion-dollar market worldwide thanks to the upcoming AR glasses. But progress is slow, although using AR applications with your own smartphone or tablet is very easy. What is missing is: AR content that offers added value. 

The reason: only a few media professionals know how to design content for AR and how storytelling for AR works, but also where the technical hurdles are. 

This creator workshop aims to support and show how AR technology and AR applications can be successfully used for communication and information and how to create AR experiences. 

After a short presentation and discussion, teams will develop AR applications themselves in a fast prototyping process. The results can become the basis for a real new product.
