President of the Film University Babelsberg

Susanne Stürmer has been the President of Filmuniversität Babelsberg Konrad Wolf since October 2013. From 1998 to 2013 she held a leading position at UFA GmbH, where she became managing Managing Director in 2006. She holds a doctorate in economics and has worked in the field of regulatory economics.

Susanne Stürmer is deputy chair of the board of media.net Berlin-Brandenburg, she sits on the supervisory board of the Erich Pommer Institut and is a member of the board of trustees of proWissen Potsdam. From 2016 to 2020, she was a representative of the state of Brandenburg on the ZDF Television Council. Since December 2016, she has been a member of the Board of ELIA (European League of Institutes of the Arts) and is also a member of the ELIA Executive Group.

In 2020, Susanne Stürmer was appointed to the newly constituted advisory board of the Competence Centre for the Cultural and Creative Industries of the Federal Government, to the board of trustees of the Fraunhofer Institute for Telecommunications HHI and to the supervisory board of Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
