Farmers in far-flung regions of the world produce fruit, vegetables and other foodstuffs that we take for granted will be available to us no matter the season. And although we’re aware of how exploitative this can be, we haven’t got far with changing the situation. “Fair” trade is not necessarily “equitable” for all parties concerned.

In this session, a former senior corporate finance executive will explain how distributed ledger technology (aka blockchain) is being used to re-engineer the food chain, setting it on the road to quality and equity.
