PETER A. FASCHING
Professor of Translational Medicine at University Hospital Erlangen
Peter A. Fasching is currently the Head of Clinical Trials Unit at University Hospital Erlangen, Coordinator to the Breast Cancer Center and Gynecological Oncology Center, and Head of the Biomaterial Bank. He has won numerous awards including most recently the Florence Nightingale Award from the German Society of Breast Diseases, preceded by the Gunter Bastert Innovation Award from the German Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics research. His work focuses on the translation of the molecular and technical understanding of disease pathogenesis, diagnostics and treatment into clinical practice as well as digitalization of healthcare (big data) including machine learning.
