Rainer Knebel
CTO at Pantaflix Technologies
Rainer Knebel, born in 1970, studied electrical engineering in Wiesbaden after graduating from high school. Between 1996 and 2002, he worked as a product manager for Philips in Weiterstadt and Los Angeles on various post-production techniques, which won two Emmy Awards in 1998.
When the company was transferred in 2002, Rainer Knebel moved to the management of Thomson, now Technicolor, as Marketing and Product Manager. Products developed and marketed under his leadership were awarded two technical Oscars in the following years.
In 2004 he returned to Santa Monica, this time as Vice President Digital Intermediate Services at Company 3, a subsidiary of Deluxe Creative Services. He was technically responsible for the post-production of many films from all well-known Hollywood studios. With his help Company 3 became the trusted partner of the world's most famous filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg, JJ Abrams, Jerry Bruckheimer, Gore Verbinski, Ridly Scott, ....).
In 2009 Rainer Knebel used his collected experiences and founded the 1o1Media GmbH. The platform was used by Constantin Film and RTL for the production of TV content, among others. After the entry of Axel Springer PnP, projects with Rolling Stone and Musik Express Magazine started.
In 2015, 1o1Media GmbH was transferred to PANTAFLIX Technologies GmbH. Rainer Knebel has been the CTO of PANTAFLIX and since 2018 also the sole managing director of PANTAFLIX Technologies GmbH.
