Katja Bäuerle
UFA
Berlin-born Katja Bäuerle has been with UFA for more than 18 years. She is a dedicated producer and has been working on long-running daily dramas and prime-time series such as Unter Uns, Rampensau and Neighbours in Berlin, Cologne and Melbourne. As Creative Responsibility Manager and a founding member of The UFA GreenTeam and the UFA Diversity Circle, she currently oversees UFA’s steps towards reducing the company’s carbon footprint in both an office and a production context, and its commitment to producing more diverse and inclusive content with a more diverse and inclusive team.
Katja is a member of the National Green Shooting Working Group that has developed a minimum standard for sustainable German Film Production that many German broadcasters, streaming services, funding bodies and production companies have committed to, and that rewards productions with a ‘Green Motion’ Label. She also runs UFA’s employee education, training and learning scheme.
