Director of Real-Time Production Nexus Studios
Kim Adams is the Director of Real-time production at Nexus Studios; leading studio initiatives in real-time animation production across original TV and film, branded content, and immersive storytelling.
Kim’s 25+ years of experience spans the entertainment, software and tech industries. She is the Co-Founder of Adventure Lab, a VR platform for virtual, live hosted, interactive experiences. She also led a team at Meta developing the AR app “Storytime,” and was Head of Production / Executive Producer at Oculus Story Studio, which created the Emmy Award-winning narrative VR project, Wolves in the Walls. Kim was a part of the leadership team at Google Spotlight Stories, producing Rain or Shine with partner Nexus Productions and Special Delivery, with Aardman Animations.
Kim was a Producer at Pixar Animation Studios for five years, where she led a Short Film division featuring beloved legacy IP characters from the Cars and Toy Story franchises, and produced 13 short films. Previous to Pixar, Kim was a visual effects producer on feature films, including Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto.
A member of The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, The Television Academy, and The Producers Guild of America, Kim has spoken on the topic of innovation across the globe.
