Louis is a New York City native who’s been working in the field of accessibility at Bridge Multimedia for over three years. Louis’ passion for film, media, and accessibility once led him to work for the Marlene Meyerson Jewish Community Center in Manhattan, supporting the ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York (a festival focusing on films starring characters with disabilities and their stories) in coordinating, quality checking, and preserving film deliverables.
His technical skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic then brought him to Bridge Multimedia, where he creates captions, transcripts, and accessible documents — this time from the production side. In addition, he has counselled and provided quality assurance for several award-winning web games from PBS (America’s Public Broadcasting Station) to ensure their accessibility from the ground up, beginning to end.
Finally, he currently does research into emerging accessible fields and technologies, such as data visualization and text to speech, in service of increasing the possibilities of accessibility for all.
